Location can't be better, room is extremely clean, staff was very helpful. We could see the Basilica direcly from our room, how amazing.

Great visit. People were so nice we felt at ease all the time

The location was exceptional. Views from the mountain were beautiful, especially at sunset when most of the tourists left.

It is an old convent so rooms were very sparse but we knew it ahead of time. It had all we needed.

We enjoyed our stay.

Location, location, location. To be able to stay right next to an incredible historical religious site was an amazing experience. The views are breathtaking and we’ll worth the effort. What is very special is that during the evening all (other) tourists leave to stay elsewhere and the Montserrat site becomes serene and peaceful. Fabulous for late evening or dawn walks and photos.

The bar is a bit like a train station cafeteria. While the restaurant space and staff were fabulous, the food was ok but not to rave about.

Beautiful, stunning location.

The location is stunning, you feel very privileged to be staying right within the grounds of the monastery. Restaurant was also excellent, and catered well for children and vegetarians.

A little more information about arrival and parking would be useful. It’s a little confusing. Cars are not allowed into the monastery grounds, but you can bring your car in if you have a hotel reservation to drop your luggage and then go and park back in the car park.

The stay was a highlight of our vacation to Spain.

The location is ASTOUNDING and price for the location was very reasonable. While the hotel decor was not fancy, it had a singularly old school charm.

The dinner at the restaurant was disappointing for the price, although the dining area was gorgeous and the staff helpful and friendly.

I arrived on bike and the staff guided me to a safe place to store my bike. The bartender was very friendly and the atmosphere in the restaurant was `pleasant.

Great location for our planned activities. Spacious rooms. Friendly service.

The location was excellent for our purposes - one night at Monistrol de Montserrat to be close to the basilica and the walks. The rooms were very spacious, with good sized bathrooms, too. The dinner in the restaurant was great quality, but the portions were too big for a three course menu. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great have a checkout time of 12pm, meant we could get another walk in after breakfast.

The breakfast was expensive for what it was. The coffee at breakfast was not good.

Excellent location, helpful staff, good value

Location is superb, 3 min walk from train station, right next to the Monastery, 1 minute walk to the Basilica where we're welcome to attend morning Mass, join in morning / evening prayers. The staff were friendly and helpful with all my requests. The buffet breakfast (extra charge) was lovely and reasonably priced (considering this hotel is remotely located and hence extra transport cost to bring food supplies to the hotel). The room was clean and spacious. There is a lift which is helpful. For hotel guests, we are entitled to a discount when shopping at the nearby supermarket and cafe. Just show your hotel card before payment. Ask the reception for details.

No kettle or tea/ coffee making facility. For a family with young children and on a budget, you may find it easier to bring your own breakfast supplies and kettle / cups. Or stay at the service apartment - Apartamentos Montserrat Abat Marcet, Or at Alberg Abat Oliba, Montserrat
